I bought this game from a local collector. It has a number of playfield problems.
Although the playfield looks fine in pictures, it has a number of lifting inserts. It also has several melted inserts (stuck flashers). I removed the full playfield mylar and tried to fix the insert problems. Melted inserts were built up and leveled with clear epoxy. Raised inserts were pounded down and reset. I used Classic Arcades spinner disks and playfield insert stickers to repair the playfield. There are still problems with inserts popping up from time to time. The cabinet is in good shape.
A new topper was added from Illinois Pinball. New ramps from Pinball Inc, and new plastics from Chili Pinball. The seven piece protector piece from Pinbits was added. I also changed the flipper rubber color, and switched the shooter rod to a white knob.
I am currently on the list for the new Whirlwind playfields from CPR.
This game has one of the best sound packages from system 11 games. Game play is challenging with the spinning disks, and the multi-ball is fun. The only thing I find disappointing is the lack of an end of game light show.
