I bought this game from a local collector. It was non-working.

This is a very early production Flash Gordon (serial number 55 out of a run of 10,000). It may have been one of the original games put out on test. It has the Xenon style Sounds-plus and Vocalizer sound cards, rather than the production Squawk and Talk sound card. This game has a working strobe, and the earlier run backglass, that has the larger clear opening for the strobe.

There is some playfield wear by the kick-out that I have touched up. It has new plastics from Classic Playfield Reproductions. The cabinet has the fade that is usual for FG's. I actually have a stencil kit for the cabinet, but have not tried to repaint the cabinet. I am on the fence regarding appearance vs original.

I run this game with an original Bally -35 MPU, using the original ROMS. The U-6 game ROM is different for the Sounds-plus than is used for the S & T card. If you run this game with an all in one MPU replacement like an Alltek, the sound calls are slightly different, and the timing of the calls is off slightly.

Game play is fast and challenging. Its hard to get a good score, or to take advantage of the double/triple score feature. The only feature missing that would make this a game on a par with Black Knight, is multi-ball.
