Internet Pinball Database Entry for Close Encounters
This game was gotten from a local collector as a project game. Although very dirty, it was in very good cosmetic condition under the dirt.
The system 1 MPU was D.O.A. as many are. I replaced it with a Ni-Wumph replacement, and re-pinned all the connectors. It also got a complete shop job, as the rubber and bulbs were all original 1978 vintage.
I had this game for about a year, before trading it back to its previous owner for the Williams Flash.
